Zane is in process of teaching me how to post on our blog. Once I figure this out I will go post crazy. Christmas pics to come shortly 
ZJ turned 7 weeks old today. He continues to fill Karen and my life with joy. I asked Karen a min ago if she thought the time was going by slow or fast. She said it is going by super fast. I guess it is, but at the same time I feel like I have known and loved ZJ forever. I know I always will
Following a recommendation of Mike Hagins (Karen’s Dad. AKA Poppy) I created an album on Flickr specifically for photo’s with Zane and the Bear. After doing this it hit me… Why not do this with Picasa too! Then I can make Collages & Video’s with the pictures. It kept me up a little late getting everything set up but it should be easy for me to do from now on so I will try to get these out more frequently.

As always check my Flickr photostream for the latest pics! ZJ is starting to smile more and more and it is a beautiful thing to see. I even caught this evasive smile on my camera today! (The smiles usually disappear after I scramble to grab the camera). I think I see a dimple!

Jr turns 4 weeks old on Tuesday. He has already gained a wopping 2lbs 2oz. He is holding his head up strong, spontaneously laughing in his sleep, smiling and farting like a champ. He is occasionally keeping us up with occasional grunting which we have been told is normal and will go away in time. Friday we upgraded Jr from the bassinet to the crib in his nursery. It is hard to do but the grunting has gone down and he is sleeping much better (maybe we were keeping him up!).
Last Monday Justin came to town to meet his new Nephew. It was fun having him in town.
We recently purchased a Electronic Baby & Toddler Scale from Costco. An unnecessary buy for sure but we were getting too curious about ZJ’s growth. ZJ currently weights 8lbs 8oz.

10/27/09
11am: Karens 39th week ob/gyn appt
12pm: After another ultrasound Dr. Wilson decides it is time to induce Karen due to baby size and amniotic fluid levels.
2:15pm: Arrive at East Cooper Regional medical center. Busy day here! 7 others due to deliver. Sound of cheers down the hall. Karen is NERVOUS! Karen is already having contractions on her own.
2:42pm: Dr Evans will be delivering Jr. Nurse is hooking up Karen to monitors now.
3:30pm: IV “Gatorade” in. Pitocin (sp?) Going in soon.
3:50pm: Pitocin locked and loaded

5:45pm: Breaking the water now. This should move things along! 2cm
6:00pm: Now its starting to hurt. Hope the drugs get here soon!
6:30pm: Epidural complete! Karen is a rock star!! Thank you Dr Hollon! Great job!
7pm: 5cm – Half way to the show
7:15pm: Shift change. Thank you Nurse Kathleen! You were great. Wonderful support when Karen was hurting. Hello Nurse Michelle!
7:25pm: Wow. Michelle is graphic. I miss Kathleen :/
8pm: Lights out for a nap. Trying to save energy for the big push!
8:30pm: Not easy to sleep knowing your going to be a Dad in a few hours!
8:46pm: Fully dialated! Gametime!
9:30pm: He’s Here! Red Hair!
10:15pm: First feeding
11pm: Hagins Family Visit.
11:30pm: Second feeding.

12:30am: First Bath. Foot and Handprints.
1:00am: Karen takes a bath. I migrate stuff to overnight room.
1:30am: Third feeding
2am: Grandma & Grandpa Perry Arrives
3am: Jr sent to nursary. Sleepy time! What an amazing day!
The CD arrived today from Melissa Barrick! It was wrapped very pretty with a very thoughtful note and business cards. It was very professional. Thank you so much Melissa!
