11am: Karens 39th week ob/gyn appt
12pm: After another ultrasound Dr. Wilson decides it is time to induce Karen due to baby size and amniotic fluid levels.
2:15pm: Arrive at East Cooper Regional medical center. Busy day here! 7 others due to deliver. Sound of cheers down the hall. Karen is NERVOUS! Karen is already having contractions on her own.

2:42pm: Dr Evans will be delivering Jr. Nurse is hooking up Karen to monitors now.

3:30pm: IV “Gatorade” in. Pitocin (sp?) Going in soon.
3:50pm: Pitocin locked and loaded![]()

5:45pm: Breaking the water now. This should move things along! 2cm![]()
6:00pm: Now its starting to hurt. Hope the drugs get here soon!
6:30pm: Epidural complete! Karen is a rock star!! Thank you Dr Hollon! Great job!
7pm: 5cm – Half way to the show![]()
7:15pm: Shift change. Thank you Nurse Kathleen! You were great. Wonderful support when Karen was hurting. Hello Nurse Michelle!
7:25pm: Wow. Michelle is graphic. I miss Kathleen :/
8pm: Lights out for a nap. Trying to save energy for the big push!
8:30pm: Not easy to sleep knowing your going to be a Dad in a few hours!
8:46pm: Fully dialated! Gametime!
9:30pm: He’s Here! Red Hair!

10:15pm: First feeding
11pm: Hagins Family Visit.

11:30pm: Second feeding.

12:30am: First Bath. Foot and Handprints.


1:00am: Karen takes a bath. I migrate stuff to overnight room.
1:30am: Third feeding
2am: Grandma & Grandpa Perry Arrives

3am: Jr sent to nursary. Sleepy time! What an amazing day!
